Sok Chamroeun is the owner, Director, and CEO of Phnom Penh Cable Television (PPCTV) Co., LTD, that operates CTV8, a free-to-air channel. Sok also heads Angkor Cable Television, LTD (AKCTV), the main cable TV provider in Siem Reap and Kompong Thom provinces, and CKCTV Cable TV in Sihanoukville.

 

In 2009, he was granted a license by the Ministry of Information to distribute online TV (IPTV) over its fiber-optic network, creating a monopoly in the sector. The same year, he was appointed as Advisor to the Ministry of Information, a position equal to Director General. He is also a member of The Cambodian Red Cross’s committee, an organization run by the wife of Cambodia's Prime Minister. He holds the titles of Excellency and Oknha.
