Hun Mana

Hun Mana

Hun Mana, 35, is Prime Minister Hun Sen’s oldest of his two daughters. A businesswoman, she chairs at least 14 companies, including Bayon TV and Radio and the Kampuchea Thmey Daily since 2010.

In 2008, Hun Sen appointed her as an assistant to his office after the Cambodian People Party claimed 65% of the seats after the July National Assembly elections. According to the Ministry of Information, this appointment was directly attributed to her position as the director for Bayon TV and Radio in order to help the prime minister in writing "proper reports". Hun Mana was the director of Bayon Media Hight System, Co. Ltd and became the owner of the company, when her mother, Bun Rany, transferred her all shares. Bayon Media Hight System, Co. Ltd had been registered with the Ministry of Commerce since 1996. In 2010, Hun Mana became the chairman and the director of the Kampuchea Thmey Daily newspaper.

In 2009, she then married Dy Vichea, the son of Hok Lundy, Hun Sen’s late national police commissioner, who first had been married to her cousin. Her older brother Manith is married to Dy Vichea’s sister Chindavy.
